The ICE U.S. Carbon Neutral Power Index (ICECNPI) is the first index to track the broad U.S. electricity market along with the carbon allowances associated with electricity generation. ICECNPI combines the prompt twelve months of ICE-listed electricity futures contracts from six major U.S. power pools with the carbon allowance futures contracts to offset the emissions of the generation associated with these electricity futures contracts. Utilizing contracts from six major U.S. power pools enables the ICE U.S. Carbon Neutral Power Index to be broadly representative of U.S. electricity consumption and price.
